World Food Day
As we are now in the midst of the fall harvest, Friday October 16th marked World Food Day. This is a day where we are reminded of the need for food security in our local community, our nation, and our world.
While that single day may have come and gone, the need for food security is an ever-present concern. Due to the current pandemic, as many as 54 million Americans, including 18 million American children, face food shortages. These statistics are unacceptable; we can do more!
Colossians 3:16 Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly, teaching and admonishing one another in all wisdom, singing psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, with thankfulness in your hearts to God.
2 Timothy 4:2 Preach the word; be prepared in season and out of season; correct, rebuke and encourage--with great patience and careful instruction.
Hebrews 6:10 "God is not unjust; he will not forget your work and the love you have shown him as you have helped his people and continue to help them."
